ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY
Graphite electrodes and nipples should be stored in a dry, dust-free place
If open-air storage is the only possibility, both electrodes and nipples should be covered with tarpaulins, on no account must graphite electrodes and nipples be used immediately after removal from open-air storage; they should first be left on the furnace platform for at least one day.
The electrode end cover should not be removed or the nipple cartons.
